The Great Adventure of the Masked Palm Civet: An Ecological Education Exhibition of the Baihe Section of the National Freeway國道3號的白河路段（北起古坑、南至關廟270k - 358k），沿線兩側是臺灣典型的 淺山生態系，涵蓋了豐富的生物多樣性，不同的物種有不同的習性及棲地。
The Baihe section of National Freeway No. 3, starting from Gukeng-270k in the north to Guanmiao-358k in the south, traverses typical Taiwanese subtropical moist broadleaf forests. The area encompasses a rich biodiversity of fauna, with different species exhibiting varied characteristics within assorted habitats.
當高速公路的建立帶來環境生態危機，人類又會如何為彌補棲地破碎化的問題，針對不同物種需求來「對症下藥」 ， 搭建出適合各類型動物的「 動物通道」 。
With the construction of the freeway posing environmental and ecological challenges, how can humans mitigate habitat fragmentation and address the specific needs of different species? The solution lies in constructing "animal pathways " tailored to the needs of the various types of animals.
這個展覽將透過棲息在淺山中的可愛動物，為了幫白鼻心尋找家族傳說中的神祕仙果，腿短的鼬獾、害羞的食蟹獴、硬脾氣的野兔等朋友們，會提出如何安全穿越馬路的方式呢？人類又能提供什麼樣的動物通道？一起來認識保護國道生態的好方法吧！
To illustrate this solution, the exhibition will feature a set of endearing animal companions inhabiting these low elevation mountains, all of whom embark, on a quest to help the masked palm civet in its search for the mythical magical fruit that is its family legend. Friends like the short-legged Formosan ferret-badger, the shy crab-eating mongoose, and the stubborn hare will discuss how to safely cross the road. The aim is to facilitate a dialogue of what kinds of secure animal pathways can humans provide? Let's explore together the best methods for protecting the ecology of such national freeways!
